Swannery Visit 2014 

Another great visit was enjoyed by friends and families thanks to Dave Wheeler and the staff at the Swannery.  After the show on arrival, a family of cygnets were ringed and a commentary was given while the children helped feeding the swans.

 It was great for everyone having a good time wandering around the swannery.

Dave also organised for the children to visit the Abbotsbury Children’s Farm for free.

 Thank you Dave and all at the Swanery.

Swannery Visit 2013 

A big thank you to Andy Walbridge for organising the visit and to Dave Wheeler and Dick Dally for making us all welcome. The visit was well attended by club members and their families who enjoyed the presentation, strolling around the Swannery and feeding the swans.
Dave also arranged for one of the swans to be ringed, weighed and allowed the children to get up close to the swan, stroke it and learn some interesting facts on swans.
